I should never have started collecting Kyosho Formula One cars. I thought I'd be happy with just one Senna McLaren. Now I have 5. A set with the Ferrari F92 and Williams FW14B is on its wat from Japan as well, and I thought I'd pretty much covered my favorite F1s by now, but I just found out early Benettons and Loti from the 60's and 70's, all in glorious Kyosho detailing and not so glorious pricing and a set with Alonso's Championship Renaults are suddenly looking very attractive as well. I may have a problem guys...

And expensive. I'll steer clear for now, I mean, I still have to complete Kyosho's Ayrton Senna Collection, then I'll probably take a break for a while before charging on to Formula One territories unknown.

Oh WTF did you show me that for...Now I'm gonna lose all my money and be poor now. Is that what you want? All of us opponauts surfing the streets after mortgaging our houses and selling our worldly possesions for these silly/awesome F1 Cars? That are awesome? 'Cause that's what's gonna happen now. How dare you? Where's your humanity!?

Haha, I'm not complaining or anything, but I'm still a ways from making some actual money, so I gotta be frugal whenever I can. I seriously have no idea how much of my own savings I should allow myself to spend on these and I feel like I'm in way over my head already with the Senna Collection, but this particular set is special. Senna will have been gone for 20 years in May 1st, and that also marks the 20th anniversary of the Ayrton Senna Institute, one of the Brazil's major education oriented charities. The proceedings of all licensed merchandise are turned over to the institute, diecast cars included, so I gotta keep going. :)

We're all in the same boat here... I'm already researching how many cars I can get if I sell off a kidney and maybe my pancreas. Diabetes is a small price to pay for a bitching diecast collection! :]

That is awesome sir. That is why you are the king of diecast. I'm in the same boat with my R/C stuff at the moment. But, my wife is now the decision maker on that though lol. Ayrton was such a great person. I was pouring my 8 year old eyes out that unfortunate day. You honor the spirit well buddy

Haha, thanks for the kind words man... I was only 4 when he was killed, so I don't remember it as vividly, but that cloudy, quiet Labor day is probably my oldest memory. I remember the mourning that followed and also when they started publishing Senninha's comic books, which set the framework for the Ayrton Senna Institute, and a way to pass on Senna's values to children, so, if I did learn anything at all, this was the source.
